pediatric therapy team collaborating at Alabama Pediatric Therapy Services clinic

Built on respect and partnership

At Alabama Pediatric Therapy Services, we believe excellent care starts with clinicians who feel respected, supported, and valued as whole people.

For ten years, APTS has grown by listening—to families, to communities, and to the clinicians doing the work every day. We serve children across Alabama, many from underserved and Medicaid-covered families, and we take seriously the responsibility that comes with that trust.

This is not a high-pressure, productivity-first environment. It’s a place where clinical expertise matters, relationships matter, and sustainability matters.

What it’s like to
work here

APTS is built on collaboration, clarity, and care for both families and staff.

Clinicians here can expect:

  • ^
Leadership that understands pediatric care and its realities
  • ^
A team culture rooted in respect and mutual support
  • ^
Space to practice with integrity, not shortcuts
  • ^
Work that feels purposeful, not transactional

We value clinicians who are reflective, curious, and committed to serving children and families with dignity.

Our approach to care

—and how it supports clinicians

We believe good care happens when clinicians are supported, not stretched thin.

Our model emphasizes:

  • ^
    Relationship-based, child-centered therapy
  • ^
    Collaboration across disciplines when helpful
  • ^
Clear communication with families and schools
  • ^
Respect for professional judgment and clinical reasoning

This approach allows clinicians to focus on what brought them to this work in the first place: helping children participate more fully in their lives.

Who we’re looking for

This may include professionals in:

  • ^
    Occupational Therapy
  • ^
    Physical Therapy
  • ^
    Speech Therapy
  • ^
    Learning and educational support roles

Experience matters, but so does alignment. We’re interested in clinicians who value collaboration, approach families with humility, and want to grow alongside a thoughtful team.

Supporting growth and sustainability

Working at APTS means being part of a practice that is intentional about growth—both organizationally and professionally.

We aim to support:

  • ^
    Professional development and continued learning
  • ^
    Collaboration and shared problem-solving
  • ^
Long-term career sustainability in pediatric care

Our goal is not to scale at the expense of people. It’s to build capacity responsibly, with care for those doing the work.
