Thoughtful care that works together
/ Services
At Alabama Pediatric Therapy Services, our services are designed to support the whole child—not in isolation, but across the environments where life actually happens.

Support that
Moves Together
Children don’t experience development in separate categories. Movement, communication, learning, and daily skills are deeply connected. That’s why our team works collaboratively, aligning therapy and learning support in ways that feel practical, coordinated, and respectful of each child’s pace.
Families don’t have to manage this alone. We help you understand what support may be helpful and how services can work together over time.
What We Offer
APTS provides pediatric therapy and learning services for children across a wide range of developmental, physical, communication, and learning needs. Services are individualized and grounded in relationship, play, and real-life application.
Occupational
Therapy
Occupational therapy focuses on helping children participate more fully in everyday activities at home, at school, and in the community.

This may include support with:
- Fine motor skills and coordination
- Sensory processing and regulation
- Daily living skills such as dressing, feeding, or handwriting
- Attention, organization, and participation in routines
Occupational therapy at APTS is play-based, child-centered, and designed to build confidence alongside skill development.
Physical
Therapy
Physical therapy supports children’s movement, strength, balance, and mobility so they can explore their world safely and confidently.

This may include support with:
- Gross motor development
- Balance and coordination
- Strength, endurance, and functional movement
- Mobility and posture
Our physical therapists focus on helping children build physical skills in ways that feel encouraging, achievable, and connected to everyday life.
Speech
Therapy
Speech therapy helps children communicate, understand language, and connect with others.

This may include support with:
- Expressive and receptive language
- Speech sound development
- Social communication
- Feeding or oral-motor skills, when appropriate
Speech therapy at APTS centers on each child’s unique communication needs and strengths, using approaches that are supportive, engaging, and respectful.
Learning
Center
The APTS Learning Center provides learning-focused services for children with reading and language-based learning differences.

Services include:
- Dyslexia intervention
- Educational evaluations
- Educational advocacy and school support
The Learning Center exists to help families better understand learning differences, navigate educational systems, and access support that feels informed and empowering—without adding confusion or pressure.
How Our Services
Work Together
Many children benefit from more than one type of support over time. When appropriate, APTS clinicians collaborate across disciplines to ensure care feels coordinated rather than fragmented.
This may include:
- Shared insight across therapy services
- Collaboration with families and schools
- Adjusting services as children grow and needs change
Families are included in these conversations every step of the way. Our role is to help you understand options, not to rush decisions.
