It’s okay to begin with questions
Reaching out for pediatric therapy or learning support can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re unsure what your child needs, where to start, or how the process works.
At Alabama Pediatric Therapy Services, you don’t need certainty to contact us. Our role is to listen first, explain options clearly, and help guide next steps in a way that feels respectful and manageable.
Getting started is simple
STEP
01
Reach out
Contact us by phone or through our contact page. You can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. Referrals are welcome, but not required to start the conversation.
STEP
02
We listen and help clarify next steps
A member of our team will ask a few questions to better understand your concerns and explain what types of services or evaluations may be helpful.
STEP
03
We move forward together
If services are appropriate, we’ll walk you through scheduling, paperwork, insurance considerations, and what to expect, without pressure or rushing.
You don’t need to know whether your child needs OT, PT, speech therapy, or Learning Center services before reaching out. We’ll help sort through that together.
Choosing the right starting point
Some families are looking for therapy services. Others are specifically interested in learning support.
Therapy services (OT, PT, Speech)
Start Here if:
- You have a referral or recommendation for therapy
- You have concerns about movement, communication, sensory processing, or daily skills
- You’re unsure which therapy may be helpful
Learning Center Services
Start Here if:
- You’re concerned about reading, dyslexia, learning differences, or academic skills
- You’re seeking evaluations or educational advocacy
- You want help navigating school systems or understanding learning needs
Because Learning Center services are different from tutoring, we begin with a short contact form to help guide next steps.
What families often ask
Your role as a parent or caregiver
You are an important part of your child’s care.

Therapy and learning support don’t end when a session does. Progress is supported through everyday moments at home and school. Our team shares practical strategies that fit into real life without adding unnecessary pressure.
Our goal is to support families, not overwhelm them.
Coordinated care when it helps
Some children benefit from support across more than one service. When appropriate, therapists and Learning Center staff collaborate to support the whole child.
This may include shared insight, coordinated goals, or thoughtful adjustments as needs change. Families are always included in these conversations.
